With pastels in hand, as I grieved, I frequented rehearsals in Lincoln, Rhode Island, and interpreted the ballet, Pictures at an Exhibition, performed by The State Ballet of Rhode Island, under the direction of Herci Marsden, Artistic Director & Choreographer and Ana Marsden Fox, Executive Director & Resident Choreographer. The ballet is inspired by Modest Mussorgsky's “Pictures at an Exhibition.” He composed Pictures as a memorial to his friend, the Russian artist, Viktor Hartmann.
